is strange how a vacuum

take the exact shape of its container.
also happens to water and light.

even I'm completely on the skin that contains me

On April 26, 1986, due to a reckless experiment, the unit explodes number 4 Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. This is the most serious nuclear accident in history. With Chernobyl, the risks of nuclear power becomes a real threat of a sudden and dramatic consequences are still poorly understood. And the memory of this catasfrofe named the latest work by Frank Pellegrino. We are facing a crisis of the poem or rather a poem that tries to manage as it can, by trial and error, a crisis that is given for granted, perhaps irreparable. Failed any possibility of symbolic correspondence between man and nature, man now finds himself trapped in a metonymic relationship between objects that the object returns. We are slaves of consumer goods has ensured that progress, constantly disappointed by the surrogate of happiness that the time promised ("Originally we were glass / glass of the same / the empty, put / on one side of the table / in the middle of the unnecessary things / that separate us"). It is no longer a viable distinction between content and container, between form and substance. Moreover, the metonymy is a figure psychoanalytically interesting because it reveals the gap that opened between apparent meaning and a sense removed, meaning that it had sunk below the neurotic symptom, in the metaphorical meaning. The day after the catastrophe is the day on which we recognize to be part of a system of inequalities. The day that we remember of being a beautiful music even though we are now strings of a guitar tune that nobody knows. What to do? The newspaper is to dig the ground with nails, stone arid to cultivate the illusion of love, the illusion of being able to remember and forget what we are ("I have a thousand years of war / by forgetting, forgiving / (in ) / a garden that has always been / made artificial flowers "). The head, heart, is a land evacuated, abandoned by the more fortunate because contaminated by waste from the day before (and was the only stone / of my house "). Between the mirror and curtain, "love is a place / always somewhere else." There is a display of heroic courage, or rather what remains of an instinct survival push to escape from reality, but every road you back to the things experienced, objects used for advertising slogans, the masks, the tricks, the Barbie ("The day after the wind / I tried to escape / I was in a station, in the world and other foreign / and the religion of silence / in cuore. / was like to be somewhere else to stay / and I'm back ").
